Consultations are booked directly through us and not the Partner Practices.

Unfortunately, we are not able to offer telephone advice. We believe that examining an exotic animal is crucial in reaching a diagnosis and moving forward with a treatment plan.

We pride ourselves in being able to treat many different exotic species  

Here is a small sample of what we see day to day

Avian: Psittacines and Passerines

Birds of prey: (Including orthopaedic injuries)

 

Reptiles: Lizards (including Geckos, Chameleons, Iguanas, Bearded and  water dragons etc...)

 

Snakes: Boas, Pythons and Colubrids etc...

 

Chelonian: Tortoise, Terrapins and Turtles etc...

 

Amphibians: Frogs, Toads and Salamanders etc...

 

Rodents and small animals: Rabbits, Rats, Ferrets, Sugar Gliders, Raccoons, Chinchillas, Guinea pigs, Gerbils, Hamsters etc...

 

 

First consults are £40

Follow up consults are £35

​

Consults are charged per animal

​

Multiple animals presented will be charge accordingly

Referrals and Second opinions 

 

We are happy to see referrals for complex cases as well as avian orthopaedics 

All referral consults are £65

 

Please ask your referring vet to send the following information to admin@ptexotic-vetcare.com

- Referral letter
- Clinical history 
- All completed Diagnostics (blood work, radiographs, scans, lab work etc)

 

 

 

Dangerous Wild Animals (DWA) 

 

We do see all venomous reptiles

If you do not have an appointment you will not be seen

 

Please call for information before arriving at the practice, as we follow a set of very strict protocols

 

We also do house visits for DWA collections ( This is ideal for routine consultations )
